Shepherd Care receives
gifts to match grant
Shepherd Care Ministries has received an additional $560 in financial contributions, bringing the December total to $1,120.
The gifts qualify the ministry, which provides clothing to those in need, for a $1,000 matching grant from the Walnut Ridge Kiwanis Club. The club had pledged to match December gifts, up to $1,000.
New contributions were received from: Gilbert and Yvonne Phillips, $10; Ira and Fannie Graham, $20; The Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Walnut Ridge First Baptist Church, $25; Hoxie First Baptist Church, $30; employees of Lawrence County Abstract, $50; Imboden Extension Homemakers Club, $100; and an anonymous gift of $300.
Donations are still needed to help with the upkeep and utilities for Shepherd Care. Anyone wishing to give can mail donations to: Shepherd Care, P.O. Box 401, Walnut Ridge, AR 72476. For more information, contact Trail at 886-6715.
