Mustangs and Bobcats
split basketball games

Hoxie hosted cross-town rival Walnut Ridge in boys' basketball action on Nov. 20.
The Mustangs routed the Bobcats 67-40 in senior high action.
Hoxie led 31-23 as the teams headed to halftime.
The Mustangs broke the game open late in the third quarter, extending to a 46-29 lead at the end of the quarter.
Hoxie was led by Ray Volner with 21 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. Tanner Jarrett added
19 points and 11 rebounds. Byron Stocker contributed 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Jonathan Lawrence tossed in nine points and had five assists.
The Bobcats were led by Seth Chamblee with 13 points. Cameron Kelly closed with 11 points, and Chris Logan contributed eight.
Walnut Ridge defeated Hoxie 30-21 in the junior high contest.
Logan Gaither led Walnut Ridge with 13 points, and Derek Medlock added 11.
Hoxie was led by Jeremy Anglin with 11 points. Jake Hill had six points and seven rebounds, and Cade Crisler chipped in four points and had four assists.
Hoxie defeated Walnut Ridge 38-23 in seventh grade action.
Sebastian Irvin led Hoxie with 20 points. Tyler Hall added seven points, and Kenny Mashburn contributed four points and four assists.
Walnut Ridge was led by Clayton Hufstedler with six points.
