Bobcats run over QuitmanDebbie Richey
The Walnut Ridge Bobcats earned a 63-46 win over Quitman in senior high boys basketball on Friday at Walnut Ridge.
Three Bobcats scored in double figures, with Cameron Kelley and Seth Chamblee scoring 17 points each and Chris Logan adding 16.
Chamblee had eight rebounds and Logan had six.
Walnut Ridge won the junior high game 45-26 over Quitman.
Walnut Ridge defeated White County Central 59-47 on Thursday at Walnut Ridge.
Three Bobcats scored in double figures, led by Logan with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Kelley added 19 points, and Chamblee recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Walnut Ridge won the junior high game 32-29 in overtime.
The Delaplaine Indians visited Walnut Ridge on Nov. 14 and took home a 65-57 win over the Bobcats.
Walnut Ridge held a 19-16 lead after the first quarter, but the Indians fought back to take a 31-25 lead heading into halftime.
After an evenly played third quarter, Delaplaine took a 44-38 lead into the final period.
Walnut Ridge had four players in double digits. Tyler Kennedy led with 18 points, and Kelley added 15 points, all on three-pointers. Chamblee recorded 10 points and eight rebounds, and Logan contributed 10 points.
Jerrod Compton led Delaplaine with 21 points.
Walnut Ridge took on Ridgefield Christian in junior high action on Nov. 13 at Jonesboro.
Walnut Ridge appeared to be in control, taking a 21-10 lead into halftime, but Ridgefield Christian outscored the junior Bobcats 25-11 in the second half to claim the 35-32 win.
Derrick Medlock led Walnut Ridge with 16 points.
