Zebras fall to TuckermanDebbie Richey
The Black Rock Zebras traveled to Tuckerman on Nov. 13 and were defeated by the Bulldogs 71-40 in boys senior high basketball action.
Black Rock kept it close early, trailing only 13-11 heading into the second quarter. Tuckerman began hammering the boards and widened the lead to 30-18 at halftime.
The Bulldogs continued to dominate the game in the second half and led 51-26 at the end of the third quarter.
Micheal Franks led the Zebras with nine points, and Anthony Todd contributed eight. Tommy Lawrence added seven points, and Les Foster tossed in five. Mitch Thompson, Adam Whitmire and Garrett Maronde each closed with two points, and Matt Chadwick added a free throw.
Tuckerman won the junior high game 53-28.
Tuckerman led only 9-6 after the first quarter, but poured it on in the second period to run out to a 32-9 halftime lead.
The junior Zebras tried to narrow the gap in the third quarter, but still trailed 45-23 heading into the final period.
Tadd Fore led the junior Zebras with seven points. Ben Walker, Trent Morledge, Joe Carey Tyler Newell and Cody Mckenzie each contributed three points. Cord Boggs and Tyler Roby added two points each, and Kris Foster and Andrew Boggs each tossed in a free throw.
