Arches wrapped in greenery, tables decorated with large Mylar Christmas balloons, a long table of baked goods and an elaborately decorated stage awaited visitors to the annual CASA Pancake Breakfast with Santa and Bake Sale.
The event, held Saturday at Fireman's Hall, raised close to $2,500 for the Court Appointed Special Advocates for children program. Paula Hutcherson again served as chairperson of the event.
Rhonda Eveland, advocate coordinator for CASA, said, "The money is used to support our program as we are supported by grants, fund-raisers and private donations."
Assisting Paula were members of the Walnut Ridge High School Key Club, members of Kiwanis, other CASA advocates, as well as her family and friends, Eveland said.
"We also need to thank all the people who contributed food for the bake sale," she added. Eveland's husband, Danny, was Santa..
