Lady Cats claim wins

The Walnut Ridge Lady Bobcats traveled to Doniphan, Mo., on Oct. 17 and brought home a 25-27, 25-19, 25-10 win in senior high volleyball action.

For the Lady Cats, Sarah Emison served 11-of-12 with two aces, 15 assists, two digs and a kill. Rachel Looney was 14-of-14 at the line with four aces. Lacey Cobble was 11-of-11 serving with four aces. Samantha Knight was 13-of-14 at the serving line with two aces and three digs.

Pocahontas, Harrisburg

Walnut Ridge hosted Pocahontas and Harrisburg on Oct. 16 and came away with a pair of wins.

Walnut Ridge defeated Pocahontas 25-21, 25-20 and Harrisburg 25-17, 30-28.

Cobble served seven-of-eight with an ace and 11 digs. Amber Caldwell was eight-of-eight at the serving line with four digs and four assists. Morgan Witcher went nine-of-nine serving with an ace, four digs and a block against Pocahontas.

Emison served 10-of-10 with 14 assists, five digs and a kill. Witcher was four-of-four with two kills and nine digs, and Looney contributed 14 kills and 10 blocks.
