Leading tacklers for the Mustangs were Cook with 14, followed by Ward with 12, Thompson with 11 and Troutman with nine.
"This was a tough loss for our team. I thought we played with great effort. Once again, we had almost 100 yards more offense than Brinkley, but we fumbled the ball three time when we were driving to score," Hoxie head coach Tom Sears said.
"We have a huge game Friday with Piggott at home. We are still in playoff contention as long as we win. I hope everyone will come out and support these seniors during their last game at home," added Sears. "They are a great group of young men."
Kickoff is at 7:30.
