WR golfers place fourth at tourney

The Walnut Ridge High School golf team placed fourth at the Class AA State Golf Tournament at Glenwood Country Club in Glenwood on Oct. 3. The tournament was hosted by Jessieville High School.

The tournament was organized in a play-four, count-three format. Cameron Kelley was the top finisher for Walnut Ridge with an 82 on the par 72 course. Other scores were: John-Scott Kelley and Barrett Kelley, 88, and Matt Ryan, 89.

Walnut Ridge finished with a team score of 258. Parker's Chapel won the tournament with a total score of 246.

Cameron Kelley named All-State

Cameron Kelley was selected All-State at the conclusion of the tournament.
