Lady Cats beat Cedar Ridge

Walnut Ridge's Lady Bobcats senior and junior high volleyball teams traveled to Newark on Thursday to face the Cedar Ridge Lady Timberwolves.

The senior Lady Cats posted a 25-10, 25-10, 25-4 victory.

Sarah Emison served 18-of-19 with 11 aces and 11 assists. Rachel Looney notched eight kills, and Chelsea Treadway served 15-of-16 with five aces and three kills. Chelsi Fultner served eight-of-nine with four aces and a dig, and Crystal Roacho went four-of-four at the line with four aces.

The junior Lady Cats were victorious 25-15, 25-18.

Regan Jean served eight-of-nine, with an ace, three digs, two kills and an assist. Emily holder was seven-of-eight at the line with three aces and a dig. Ashley Baker was eight-of-eight serving with a dig and three aces. Ashton Lawson went nine-of-nine, with three aces, two digs, two kills and two assist Amanda Emison contributed a dig, two kills and three assists.

Harrisburg

The Lady Cats hosted Harrisburg on Oct. 3, with the schools splitting four matches.

Harrisburg won a hard-fought senior high A contest in five games 12-25, 26-28, 25-18, 25-22, 15-8.

Emison served 21-of-22 with an ace, 11 digs, and 18 assists. Looney contributed 22 kills and 11 blocks. Vanessa Oliver served 14-of-15 for the day with five aces, 13 digs and six kills. Treadway was 16-of-16 from the line with 17 digs and seven kills, Lacey Cobble served 16-of-18 at the line with three aces, 19 digs and six kills.

Walnut Ridge defeated the Lady Hornets in a senior B contest 25-22.

Chelsey Linebaugh served four-of-five with three aces, a dig and three assists, and Jessica Baldwin was five-of-five at the line with two aces.

The junior Lady Cats lost to Harrisburg 17-25, 10-25

The Walnut Ridge junior B team won its match over Harrisburg 25-15.

Lawson served eight-of-eight with three aces, and Ashley Hoffman served three-of-three with an ace.

Trumann

Walnut Ridge traveled to Trumann on Oct. 2 to take on the Lady Wildcats in four matches.

Trumann defeated the senior Lady Cats 25-20, 11-25, 26-24.

Emison served 17-of-18 with an ace, four digs and nine assists. Looney contributed nine kills, a dig and nine blocks. Treadway went nine-of-11 serving with two aces, five digs and six kills. Cobble was 11-of-12 at the line with two aces, nine digs and four kills. Linebaugh served eight-of-eight, with three aces, four digs a kill and an assist.

The Walnut Ridge senior B team won its match 25-22.

Teegan Hollister served eight-of-nine with four aces, and Amber Caldwell was two-for-two serving with three kills.

The junior Lady Bobcats claimed a 25-16, 17-25, 17-15 victory over Trumann.

Holder served eight-of-13, with seven aces, a dig, two kills and three assists. Lawson was 10-of-10, with two aces, three digs and a kill. Beth Massey also served 10-of-10, with four aces, three digs and a kill.

The Walnut Ridge junior B team lost 22-25.

Megan Osbahr served five-of-six with two aces, and Ashley Baker was four-of-four with two aces.
