This is a full-time, 12-month position. The Student Affairs Coordinator for the Paragould campus will be responsible for overseeing the Paragould campus admissions and recruitment initiatives, making advisor assignments and coordinating advising services for all Paragould students, overseeing student activities, and working with the Academic Coordinator on the Paragould campus to ensure that students have appropriate academic and personal support. The Student Affairs Coordinator supervises a staff of approximately three to four people. He/she reports directly to the Vice President for Student Affairs and collaborates with staff on the Pocahontas campus to ensure that processes and procedures on both campuses are consistent and that students are receiving timely access to information and resources. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the daily activities of the Paragould Student Affairs Office to ensure that students are receiving timely, accurate services and resources. Collaborate with the Vice President for Student Affairs to develop and implement a recruitment plan for the Paragould site. The Student Affairs Coordinator will be expected to attend and participate in recruitment events, collect contact information to be sent to the College Recruitment Coordinator, and provide assessment of recruitment activities. Skilled in Consensus building, especially in developing strategies to cultivate positive relationships within the Paragould camps, with the Pocahontas campus, and with local high schools and business partners. Assist the Vice President for Student Affairs in providing regular enrollment reports and records of student contacts to measure student success, completion, and student satisfaction. Collaborate with the Paragould Advisor to ensure that application management is handled in a timely, accurate fashion. Supervise and participate in Paragould Campus Advising and Registration Events, Campus Preview nights and New Student Orientation. Collaborate with the Paragould Academic Coordinator to ensure that room assignments, course lists, registration processes, etc., are completed in a timely, efficient way. Responsible for student discipline and referrals to support services on and off campus for the Paragould campus, working directly with the Registrar and Vice President for Student Affairs. Develop a yearly plan to ensure that staff are provided with professional development opportunities and are encouraged to actively participate in BRTC working groups and committees, as needed. Takes an active role in the development and implementation of a student activities program that encourages student engagement for the Paragould campus. Coordinates with the Vice President for Student Affairs in staff and program development, budgeting and institutional research for the Paragould campus. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Student Affairs. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess have earned a Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, or other related field. 3-5 years’ experience supervising a busy office and multiple staff members. Experience in college admissions and/or advising strongly preferred. Outstanding human relations skills. Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
